What would you do with the YesStyle homepage?

 - by Yes Style

We like the look and style of the website of YesStyle.com..but things can always be better. That’s also what the people at YesStyle thought, so they asked the fans on their Facebook Page: “If you were a web designer for a day at YesStyle, what would you do with our homepage?”

These are some of the responses by the Facebook fans:

“Not sure… It’s good enough already but I think I would have a special image that appears each day to make thempage different an unique and have a live chat box for customers who need a quick answer :)

“it can be done better, no offense. the design of the website is a bit old. look at the width size it just 860px, it should look good on small screen device but on bigger screen everything just like squeezed in a small space. flexibility is important nowadays, a website that can automatically fit for big and small screen so that the customer viewing/shopping experience would be better, means, you can put in more advertisement, bigger photo of your promotion. no need worry about keep scrolling down to the site to find things. hope that helps.”

“Being able to see only a 100 items per page gets frustrating. It takes up too much time searching through them all. Other than that, the site is fine :)

“I would widen the page as well to fit more in there, but more in a sense that you have more room to extend the boxes, etc.. you can use that to make it less messy! :) Also, the color contrasts among the boxes are not strong enough. If you wanted to follow the style of the majority of clothing retailers, you could put the manufacturers/categories on the left or top, and place larger images on the home age to catch the attention of the customer (which could also be a slideshow).”

“More colors maybe because it’s a bit too formal for a fashion-related website and I’ll add a “recommend products” or “customers who bought this item also bought” feature to products page.
The actual site is useful to get a product if you know what you want to buy, by for browsing randomly products to see if there is something nice, it’s more difficult to use it, in my opinion.”

We thought it was nice to also post about something different than just coupons. If you are one of the people that can’t appreciate that, why not take a look at the YesStyle coupon november 2011.
